Inauguration of Tefki school extension

District Apostle Michael Ehrich visited in January 2012 Ehtiopia. It was his first trip to this country. He visited the NAC schools in the area of Addis Abeba. In Tefki the school needed to be extended because of the many pupils who attend the school. In a festive cermony he he made the dedication.

Divine service in Addis Abeba

Highpoint of the trip was the Divine service in Addis Abeba.

The text word, Isaiah 26:1 – 2: ‘In that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah: “We have strong city; God will appoint salvation for walls and bulwarks. Open the gates, that the righteous nation which keeps the truth may enter in”’, was read by the District Apostle.

Which song are you singing?
The District Apostle emphasized on the challenges that come our way and said: “We will not always be happy. Sickness, hunger, death, challenges and temptations will come our way. But because we expect to be happy always, we begin to doubt if God truly exists”. He urged the congregants to sing the song of peace, love, forgiveness and fellowship with Jesus Christ and with one another. He cautioned the congregants to always listen to the ministers before them so as not to be led astray. “Many souls in the beyond were deceived and were led to their death.  Some also reluctantly refused to listen to the gospel and did things their own way”.

The strong city
“We have a strong city which is in our Lord Jesus Christ”, said the District Apostle. He said, in this strong city are Christians who depict love, forgiveness and togetherness. He told the congregants that the strong city was established by Jesus Christ through the Apostles’ Ministry and the altar of grace; God visits the city every day to comfort and to bless. God’s power is in the walls of the strong city which makes it strong and firm. “It is in this city we are inviting our brothers and sisters in the yonder world to receive the sacraments and forgiveness”.

The District Apostle urged the congregants to be righteous in all their doings, for only those found righteous and have kept the truth will enter and remain in this strong city. “God; the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, are in this city with us. Let us not be afraid. Let us seek the Kingdom of God and its righteousness and all other things shall be added. Let us allow the Triune God to guide us so as not to go astray”, he concluded.
